I just signed a contract with my publisher (Inner Traditions) for the publication of my next book, a sequel of sorts to The Brother of Jesus and the Lost Teachings of Christianity. The working title (subject to change) is: The Underground Stream: Jewish Christianity from Jesus to Freemasonry

DIGGING MT. ZION

I spent two weeks in June taking part in the Mt. Zion Archaeological Expedition, working as a volunteer under the supervision of the dig's two remarkable co-directors: Dr. Shimon Gibson and Dr. James Tabor.  The site is located in what was the wealthiest neighborhood in 1st century Jerusalem, not far from King Herod's palace and the high priest's residence. The site is being called a "Herodian Pompeii" because the 1st century homes that are just now being uncovered appear to be almost perfectly preserved. Volunteers are always needed. If you have ever thought of taking part in an archaeological dig, this is one of the most exciting that you could find and the directors are a joy to work with.
